“My work is an extension of the roads I’ve traveled, exploring landscapes both rural and urban, and the communities where I’ve worked and lived. Artistically and conceptually, I study buildings, signs, and landscapes, and work to heighten their sculptural and architectural form through the basic elements of composition, form, balance, color, and light. I select subject matter that appeal to me both visually and historically. My current artworks merge these differing perspectives using acrylics, printmaking techniques, and digital, blending the past, present, and imagined.” – Dennis Johnson
