I experienced a moment of insight on a blue fall day in Bozeman Montana when I witnessed hot iron glowing like the sun, coming out of the fire… the black coal fire.  Looking back now I realize that I had found my calling, my path. It seems I have always worked with fire, first in metals and now with hot glass. Working closely with my great assistants we create both architectural and sculptural works, most always on commission. Collaboration has become a way of life, a process that I have truly come to enjoy. We have accomplished and delivered commissioned projects from Alaska to Florida. For me the creative process is a magical experience, full of mystery and challenge. I am learning to trust my creative instincts and try to let intuition be the guide, not my intellect.
